J,K,L,M....A Piece of the Alphabet for Spring

We are just one month away from the first day of SPRING!! Yay, yay, yay! Spring has got to be one of my favorite seasons of the year. When I begin to see shops with pops of color here and there, I get really giddy inside! After the cold winter that we've had, I cannot wait to stock my closet with hot pink, lime green, and aqua-colored clothes. That is, of course, when I get a job or even $20....ughhh, I need to have a paycheck or I may go crazy! Anywaysss, I thought I would share some vivid hue-d goodness to get you through the next month! Have fun drooling over these amazing finds!

J is for Jellies by Burberry

If you're anything like me, you rocked some jellies when you were younger. I strutted my stuff around the pool when I sported my jellies of all colors! Jellies came back last Spring, but they haven't gone back in the trend archive just yet! Burberry is offering adorable jellies in black, beige, red, clear and pink this season. Get your hands on them quick because they'll be flying off shelves everywhere!

Love these!

K is for Kate Spade

Kate Spade's new shoe arrivals are to die for!! From the striped "Karolina" pump to the outrageous "Wish" wedge, Kate has won my heart. How can you not love Spring when she makes it look this fun? I need these in every color....

What more could a girl ask for??

Appropriately named the "Karolina", after me of course!!

Why didn't Kate Spade think of this sooner? I loooove the spade logo!

Don't mind if I do!

High-heeled rainboots for the most stylish uptown girl

L is for Longchamp

Longchamp has introduced a very pretty rose petal pattern to their Le Pliage Tote Bag Collection. Offered in pink and yellow, it's just the oomph they needed to bring in the warm season. They have also added some stylish shoes, including a cute T-strap sandal with zipper detailing...I want a pair ASAP.

Lonchamp lovin'

A scarf to match!!
Can't wait to get a pair....

M is for Milly

If I was a boy, I would marry Milly. In honor of my upcoming fabulous excursion to the Bahamas, I wanted to feature some of Milly's homage to the nautical look. I am head over heels about anything related to boats, resortwear, and sun. So, I have picked a few outfits that I would rock anywhere, from Worth Avenue to the isle of Capri. I've also featured Milly's new Handbag and "Milly Minis" lines which are uber lustworthy!
TOO precious!!

The perfect bag to complete the preppy, nautical look!

Love the sailboat tee!

This dress looks like a twist on a version they did 3 years ago. Loved it then, love it now!

Have...to....have....it. Now.

I'm dreamin' of daydresses....

Friday Faves

I've been busy this week interning with Etcetera, a luxury clothing line that is sold in people's homes. I know the two women in charge of selling in my town, so they were super nice to let me join in on the fun! Can't wait to see how it affects my resume....

My top 5 is going to be short and sweet and straight to the point this week. I get to see my boo tomorrow, so I need to get my beauty rest :) Happy weekend, y'all!!

1. The Bahamas.   This is because....I AM GOING A WEEK FROM TOMORROW!! Never been & can't wait!! However, Bahamas means bathing suits and I am having a terrible time finding the right one...gag, I hate swimwear...and my beer belly.

2. Etcetera clothing.   Because it's the ish and beyond chic.

3. Almay Smokey-i eyeshadow for brown eyes.   I finally bought it last week and love the dramatic look I get from it!

4. Target.   Momma got me a gift card for Valentine's Day and I am shocked I have not spent it yet! That is at the top of my to-do list for tomorrow.

5. Tory Burch.   Mainly because I am currently staring at the clear & orange plastic beach tote I got FO' FREE two years ago filled with goodies from Neiman's. T'was a good day....

Peace out! Don't get too crazy this weekend!!

A Custom Closet

As I was brainstorming about what my next post would be about, a light bulb went off in my head: What about Laroque? That's it! I can't believe I haven't shared about Annabelle Laroque and her amazing custom creations!

Annabelle is a fashion designer based out of Columbia, South Carolina where I went to college. After she discovered that her post-grad corporate job was not her cup of joe, she quit and started sewing skirts for her friends. After everyone began to notice her awesome skills and colorful fabrics, she set up shop in a 12x12 space that she shared with another store. When the incoming orders grew larger than she ever imagined, she took over the entire shop and Laroque became a Devine Street staple.

Annabelle is a bubbly, gorgeous girl who knows her stuff. (She also happens to be my great-great-grand-big sister in Kappa Delta!) Since mastering her signature skirt styles, she now makes tops & blouses, shift dresses as well as one-shoulder, tube, and other fitted styles, shorts, bow ties for your dates, and even wedding and bridesmaid dresses!! Each customer gets to pick from an array of fabrics, choose the style of their garment, and have a hand-made, custom outfit for their enjoyment. And best of all, she never makes two identical items, so you won't have to worry about someone else wearing the same thing as you!

It doesn't stop there! She creates "sash belts" in every color of the rainbow that can instantly spice up your outfit. So you can create a new look every time you wear your Laroque creation! Her designs have landed her a spot at Charleston Fashion Week and write-ups in local magazines like Jolie.

I have posted a few of my favorite Laroque looks below. You can find her at 2700 Devine St. in Columbia, SC or at ShopLaroque or her Blog.

This is one way to wear this look...

And another way with a monogrammed sash belt!!

I loooove this open-back style. Channeling Lilly, perhaps? A girl after my own heart.

Annabelle is the blonde in the hot pink dress. This photo was taken when Southern Living came to do a piece on the Carolina Cup!

I mean, this looks designer! I think I need one in every color....

This dress style flatters every body type and is mucho popular!

I heart Laroque.

Guilty Pleasures

I just wanted to leave you for the weekend with a couple of guilty pleasures of mine. These following things are my vices, yet the sunshine to my senses. Enjoy yourself....

1. Criminal Minds, Law & Order: SVU, and any other scary crime drama on primetime TV.
2. Britney Spears. Enough Said.
3. Looking for decorating ideas for my imaginary, yet hopefully future, apartment. Not too mention the imaginary bank account that I think I have.
4. Nike shorts. You know which ones I'm talking about....the ones that make everyone's butts look saggy, but look so cute from the front.
5. SJP.
6. InStyle Magazine.
7. Reese's Cups....the reason you can't see my six-pack...hahaha.
8. Anything on E!
9. Old school Patagonia fleeces...on guys....
10. and last but not least....Jeggings....I can't elaborate on this one because I'm quite embarrassed....

Have fun this weekend! Get crazy and out of control because Monday comes too soon!!

February Fever

I have been sooo busy this past week and have left my blog untouched! Shame on me! I traveled to Charleston, Augusta, and Columbia, all within 2 days! Exhausting, but well worth it if I land the internship that I so desperately want at Charleston magazine! Updates later....

Although I have not been on the Internet in days, I have been to the bookstore. I love to go peruse the racks upon racks of magazines that make me the happiest girl on earth. I glanced through the March 2011 issue of House Beautiful, which might I add, is dedicated to the color PINK! My favorite, you know. I have posted a pink Fiat (painted in honor of Barbie's birthday) that is featured in the magazine. There are articles on all things pink and a page by Trina Turk. I'm obsessed with her colorful geometric patterns. Definitely worth it to buy the magazine--which I will do before I head to the BAHAMAS at the end of the month, yay yay yay!

Another article was about the new home collection designed by Lilly Pulitzer partnered with Lee Jofa. I can't tell you how pumped I am about the line coming to High Point for the Furniture Market in April. Although I will be out of town, I will for sure be letting mother know that she needs to stop by for me! Below is an adorable rug from her home collection. Oh, happy day!

I could live on pink and green alone.
Happy Birthday, Barbie!!
